Heart Research UK (HRUK) is a Yorkshire-based national charity who fund innovative research into the treatment, prevention and cure of Britain's biggest killer - heart disease. HRUK paid for six of the first eight successful UK heart transplants and funds ground-breaking medical research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. In the last 10 years the charity has provided over £10.6m to pioneering research projects in hospitals and universities across the UK helping to develop new treatments and procedures that are saving peoples lives or helping them to cope with it. HRUK encourage people in their local communities to live healthier, happier and longer lives through their work in funding ground-breaking medical research as well as helping communities to improve their lifestyles through their Healthy Heart grants scheme.
Proportion Marketing design their Pulse newsletter (circulated to over 20,000 friends of the charity) that promotes healthy lifestyle activities and informs supporters of recent funding awards to clinicians researching heart disease. Pulse is one of the charity's main income generation platforms. In addition we redesigned and developed their website as well as providing other marketing communications activities.
